Conan interviewed the mayor of Newark (Cory Booker) on his show and offered a check he & his wife wrote to the NewarkNow.org non profit with a matching amount from NBC. A nice ending to a much publicized war of words. In Conan's words: "It was one joke and man, it was expensive!".
